Rosemary is a popular herb and essential oil known for its wide-ranging culinary uses and health benefits. Rosemary is credited with the abilities to increase mental energy, decrease cortisol and stress, and detoxify the body, among other benefits.
A study published by Drs. Atsuri and Tonosaki in the Psychiatry Research Journal found that inhaling rosemary and lavender oils for five minutes significantly reduced cortisol levels in test subjects’ saliva.
